Our Christmas trip

I know Christmas was a long time ago, but we had such a great time that I have to put something about it in my blog. We were lucky enough to spend Christmas in the beautiful state of Washington with Aaron's parents. The first part of our trip was spent in Leavenworth, Washington. We were there for 3 days and it was during their tree lighting ceremony where they light up a big tree in the main part of town as well as lights on all the buildings. It was a blast! We had a sleigh ride, went tubing (thanks to Uncle Tyler and Aunt Julie), went shopping and played games. It was rather cold though. The kids couldn't believe that it was -1 degrees Fahrenheit. We kept them bundled but boy it was cold!!! We all had a great time. Our kids were thrilled to stay in a hotel with Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Julie, and Ashley, Madison, and Braedon. We don't get to spend near enough time with them. On a side note, that is where Julie introduced me to Costco's macadamia nut clusters. They are heavenly!!!!

After Leavenworth we were able to go to Aaron's parents for Christmas. The kids were able to go sledding again with their cousins again since there was plenty of snow. We went and cut down a Christmas tree from a tree farm and everyone got in a snowball fight. The kids enjoyed playing the Wii, playing with Legos, and playing with cousins. Aaron's brother Stephen came with his wife Tami and their boys Jacob and Gavyn. It was the first time we were able to meet them. We didn't want to leave. In fact we stayed an extra day and made the drive all in one day instead of two. It was crazy. Ryan cried almost the whole way home because apparently he had a double ear infection that we could not diagnose until we got home. Poor guy!!! It was a wonderful trip! We can't wait to go back.

Sleigh ride at Leavenworth. It was about -2 degrees Fahrenheit but we were bundled in blankets. Adam, Braedon, and another little boy on our sled were able to ride in the front of the sled!

Hanging out on Main Street in Leavenworth. Again, very cold but it was snowing and there were fire pits all along the street. The lights were on and it was beautiful!
